In 2023, Tom and his fellow Commissioners approved the purchase of a $1.17M Emergency Mobile Command Unit, Using Federal ARPA and FEMA grants to enhance communication and coordination during emergencies. This proved vital during the 2025 wild fire season.
Tom advocated for the Public Health Department’s budget increase in 2025 and cast the deciding vote to assure the health and safety of the County’s residents was protected.
Tom fought tirelessly to assure that Journey Home would be reopened and remain a safe place for residents suffereing from mental health crisis.
